Female Guitar Players
I think it's time to reevaluate the music industry and discard any foregone conclusions of "who are the best musicians in the world today." Gender isn't a factor, but the first choice for some is a male.
However, given the increasing pantheon of female musicians today with perhaps unmatched abilities and superior playing skills, the paradigm is shifting, so one cannot be partial when evaluating musical talent anymore.
It's hard to believe there are so many good, talented, and excellent female guitar players in the world that you've never heard of before the Internet and Youtube, a repository of music, musicians, and performing artists from around the world.
I've seen a few female guitarists on stage over the years, but the young and upcoming ones are redefining the art of guitar playing. They are mean, ferocious, incredibly fast, and command total control over the guitar and all its accompanying accessories.
